Posted: admin on Feb 13 | Food & Recipes
Cochabamba, known as Bolivia’s culinary capital, hosted the 22nd annual Puchero Fair and Accordion Festival. Puchero is a special Bolivian dish consisting of boiled potatoes topped with boiled cabbage, thin strips of roasted meat and a spicy peanut hot sauce drizzled on top; and always washed down with beer and sometimes with even more Llajwa (spicy Bolivian hot sauce). The fair served over sixty thousand dishes. The delicious meal was followed by over 20 accordion players who sang traditional Bolivian songs. Puchero is a dish typically eaten around Carnaval in February and often includes fresh pear slices.
