« Teachers’ Strikes Spread through La Paz | Home | Salary Increases Pit Teachers Against Parents » President Morales Calls on Pope to “Humanize” Catholic ChurchPosted: Nate on May 17 | Indigenous & Culture, International In a 25-minute meeting today with Pope Benedict XVI in the Vatican, Bolivian President Evo Morales submitted a letter in which he asked the Pope to “respectfully abolish celibacy [in the priesthood]” and “democratize and humanize” the Catholic church. President Morales, who this weekend began a European tour through Spain, Norway, and Finland, said in his letter to the Pope, “The Church doesn´t have to deny a fundamental part of our nature as human beings and should abolish celibacy.” Morales also indicated that the abolition of celibacy for Catholic priests would help ease the Church´s scandals involving child abuse. President Morales read from his letter in a press conference after the meeting, which he also submitted his letter to the Pope in person during their private meeting. In Morales´ letter he tells the Pope that some “reflections have forced [him] to propose very respectfully the need to overcome the crisis in the Church, which as [the Pope] said, is injured and sinful.” The letter also called on the Pope and the Church to “democratize and humanize the clerical structure” and asked that “women be allowed the same opportunities as men in fully joining the priesthood.” President Morales´ visit comes one week after he first publicly acknowledged his own catholicism, an announcement that surprised many given his administration´s at times tense relationship with the hierarchy of the Catholic Church in Bolivia. Morales: assassin!
Magyarosi Árpád was assassinated by a group of assassins cops (militars? from Venezuela??) in a hotel Las Americas during being asleep in the Bolivian Santa Cruz (16. 04. 2009.).
Arpad was invited for a 1-month visit to Bolivia by his friend from his childhood, Toaso Elod now in prison. He was a university student in Hungary. He bought his own ticket on his own money. He arrived to Viru Viru airport (Santa Cruz). About his personality: he was very calm, with high knowledge in arts, was a teacher, he could not and would not commit either in his head anything he is accused of!
He was there as a tourist to see his friend now in prison!
WE WOULD LIKE an INTERNATIONAL INVESTIGATION!
Bolivia: the killers one year laugh of light Europeans
A year ago it was caught, tortured and then executed with bestial cruelty in the Las Americas hotel in Santa Cruz by bolivian government militants Eduardo Rozsa Flores, Magyarósi Arpad and Michael Dwyer. A year ago we do not know who killed them and why. A year ago we do not know who gave the command. A year ago did not examine the assault of police quenching process in a „ democratic „ country, where there is no life punishment, and who is party for all the Latin American Human Rights Convention and the Additional Protocol. A year killers go free, and laugh at the stupid and weak Europeans.
