New Newspaper “24 Hours” to Launch

Posted: admin on Feb 26 | Indigenous & Culture, News

A new independent newspaper called “24 Horas” (24 Hours) will be launched after the April municipal elections in Bolivia. 24 Hours will be a private venture directed in part by Raúl Garafulic of the La Razon newspaper and ATB television channel. Only 130,000  -or less than 2%- of Bolivia’s ten million inhabitants regularly read a newspaper, but this figure is climbing as younger generations receive more education. 24 Hours will compete with a well established range of private newspapers from each city as well as government sponsored media like Cambio.
