« Community Justice Allows for Traditional Punishments | Home | Government Persuades Coca-Growers to Eradicate Crops in La Asunta » Mayor´s Office Announces 140 New Public Works in El AltoIn celebration of the anniversary of El Alto, the Municipal Government has announced an investment of 127.1 million bolivianos to be distributed among 140 new public works projects. According to Freddy Llampa, director of supervision of community works, the projects will include improvements to infrastructure, social work, education, security, and public decoration and restoration. Specific improvements include the construction of paved roads, additional classrooms in 12 schools, canals on River Sek´e, and three sports complexes, among other projects.
