The local authorities are replacing the wood materials with bricks as they repair the infrastructure of schools and teachers dormitories located in indigenous communities. The president of the Authority of the Indigenous Communities of Pando, Mario Duri reported to Erbol Network that the priority is to tend to the educational infrastructure, which is in a state that deserves the support of the state government. “They’re working with brick to have a product that is good and lasts a long time. The first community benefitting from this project is the indigenous community in Sinai en the city of Sena where they have been advanced more than 70% of the cost of the project.” Similar projects have been completed little by little in other towns in Pando. Duri also noted that they are conducting studies to bring drinkable water to the indigenous communities.
