Drivers Union Rejects Penalties, Threatens BlockadesPosted: admin on Jan 31 | Transportation Twelve people were killed and a further 91 injured on January 30th when 2 buses crashed head-on at night while one tried to pass a slower vehicle on the narrow road between Yacuiba and Santa Cruz near Camiri. The crash occured at night between a bus from the “Potosà Buses” company and one from the “Copacabana” company where apparantly the Potosà Buses vehicle attempted to pass without seeing the oncoming Copacabana bus; smashing head on at high speed. Two dead bodies are still stuck in the twisted metal of the bus as rescuers work to free them. The injured have been transported to hospitals in Camiri. |
