According to Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca, “the President has a meeting with President Ahmadinejad, the [Iranian] foreign minister, and other ministers to revise a biliteral agenda; we know there´s interest in cooperation from the producion and industrial sector. Every country is interested in lithium so we´re not going to rule anything out.” President Morales´ 4-day visit to Iran comes on the heels of his announcement last week that Bolivia´s lithium reserves guarantee a worldwide supply for 5,000 years but will require a $900 million investment to begin extracting and processing the metal.
