Presented by the Department of Social Services, the program was supported by the Paceñan prefecture. According to the prefecture’s press release, there were 42 participants, both single and married, that received multidisciplinary training over the course of two weeks. The training was presented by specialists from the Technical Union of Social and Family Support as a result of Law 2026. The multidisciplinary teaching team was made up of legal, psychological, pedagogical, social work , medical and nutritional professionals with specialties in national adoptions. The future parents received training designed to address the specific challenges of integrating families and the support required by families during and after adoption. One of the most important rituals was the egg ceremony, in which adoptive parents receive eggs to symbolize the child they are anticipating. Each parent is encouraged to express his/her sentiments and excitement regarding his/her future child.
